The Gripper™ System gives stable retractor positioning so nursing staff can be deployed where their training is actually needed. Surgeons are back in charge of their instruments — they determine the position, the force applied and how long a retractor stays in place. That lets the surgeon stay fully on the job while the scrub stays a step ahead, because they are no longer holding anything.

Fixation points
The Gripper™ device mounts to a dedicated fixation point sized for your table and approach. Rails, long poles and procedure-specific frames are available for supine, traction, lateral, knee and shoulder set-ups.

How is the Gripper™ device sterilised?
With ethylene oxide (EtO).
How is the Gripper™ device packaged?
Individually packaged in a double blister, each blister sealed with its own Tyvek lid. The smallest commercially available carton contains 10 Gripper™ devices.
What is the shelf life?
The Gripper™ device has a validated shelf life of three years.
How many devices are used per case?
In 95% of cases, surgeons use two Gripper™ devices.
How do you adjust the tension?
Press the blue button to release the internal locking mechanism, set the position and tension you want, then release the button — the device locks and stabilises the retractor.
What are the dimensions?
13 cm long, 4 cm wide and 4 cm high including the locking handle.
